City Council Passes Ethics Commission Recommendations, Mayor Signs Ordinance
The Wilmington Ethics Commission, which was reconstituted in 2017 by Mayor Mike Purzycki and Wilmington City Council, recommended to the Mayor and Council a series of legislative changes to modernize the Commission and improve the City’s approach to ethics. The recommendations and accompanying legislation were sent to the Mayor and City Council on August 24, 2018.
Ordinance 18-043: An Ordinance to Amend Chapter 2 of the City Code to Update the Ethics Provisions was passed by City Council on October 4, 2018, and approved by Mayor Purzycki on October 8, 2018.
