Vehicle releases can be obtained Monday through Friday (except holidays) from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

To obtain a vehicle release:

Requestors must pay a $50 fee to the City of Wilmington Finance Department. Payments can be made in person or by calling the Finance Department at (302) 576-2620.

Bring the following to the City of Wilmington Revenue Division (800 N. French Street, 1st Floor)

• Valid Driver’s License
• Valid Vehicle Registration
