The City of Wilmington offers confidential, toll-free and online services to report any concerns about dishonest, illegal, or fraudulent behavior taking place in City government.

As public servants, City of Wilmington employees are obligated to serve the citizens of Wilmington honestly and legally. Not only are they accountable for their own actions, but are also responsible for reporting the harmful activities of others in City government.

The City of Wilmington Fraud Hotline was established to safeguard the integrity of all city government activities. This confidential, toll-free services makes it easy to report any concerns someone might have about dishonest, illegal, or fraudulent behavior taking place in City government.

Once a report is made to the fraud hotline, the City Auditor and/or City Solicitor will conduct a thorough investigation. If warranted, the matter may then be referred to the City's Ethics Commission for violations of the City Code of Conduct, or, if the matter potentially involves criminal activity, be referred to the appropriate law enforcement agency including, but not limited to, the State Attorney General or United States Attorney's Office.
