About the Commission

The Wilmington Youth Leadership Commission (WYLC) acts in an advisory capacity to the mayor and city council and the departments and agencies of city government and in that capacity assist the city in its efforts to identify the needs of city youth and their families and to assist the city in efforts to develop and promote initiatives and programs which will address those needs.

Members

The Wilmington Youth Leadership Commission (WYLC) consists of 35 youth members from grades 9 through 12, chosen from the memberships of youth organizations citywide. There are currently 26 members serving on the commission, and 9 vacancies. They are:
