Delaware SkillsUSA Legal Administrative Assistant Career Program students Ayo Ajao, Maria Florez and Brandon Ashley visited Mayor Dennis P. Williams to show him their project on gun violence. The project won a gold medal in March at the state competition. The goal of their visit with Mayor Williams was to show him that young people are eager to help end gun violence in Wilmington. Mayor Dennis P. Williams offered encouragement to city youth who took part in Tennis in the Streets on Rodney Square. The annual event is sponsored by the City of Wilmington Department of Parks and Recreation and the United States Tennis Association (USTA), and is designed to both engage new youth tennis players, as well as to celebrate youth who are already engaged in the sport.
