Mayor Mike Purzycki said the City of Wilmington is once again proud to support Wilmington Black Restaurant Week. The Second Annual Wilmington Black Restaurant Week, which is co-hosted by the Mayor's Office, Wilmington City Council, and the Delaware Black Chamber of Commerce, will take place beginning this Sunday, September 29 through Saturday, October 5, 2024.

Wilmington Black Restaurant Week '24 will showcase the diversity of Delaware’s Black culinary culture while providing residents and visitors the chance to support local restaurants. The Mayor encourages you to visit participating restaurants throughout the week and enjoy your favorite foods with options to dine in, take out, delivery, catering, and food trucks.

“Black Restaurant Week continues to be the perfect opportunity to learn about the cultural history of Wilmington’s Black eateries,” said Mayor Purzycki. “This unique and inclusive week-long event will again feature Black-owned food vendors, take-out restaurants, casual dining restaurants, food trucks, and fine dining establishments. I urge everyone to support these businesses, which are an integral part of our City’s history as well as its growing and increasingly diverse food scene.”
