The City of Wilmington this afternoon is issuing the following Traffic and Parking Advisory for tonight’s planned community demonstration/rally at Tubman Garrett Park on the Wilmington Riverfront.

Traffic will be restricted in the area surrounding Tubman Garrett Riverfront Park and along the King Street corridor. Because parking is usually very limited in the area near the park, attendees are urged to walk to tonight’s event or to carpool to reduce the number of vehicles in the area.

For convenient arrival and departure of vehicles, Delaware Technical Community College (DTCC) has graciously agreed to offer its parking garage and surface lots for free parking this evening. The college parking facilities are bounded by the area of 2^ndand 3^rdStreets and Orange and Tatnall Streets.

Again, traffic and parking will be limited in the area of Tubman Garrett Park. Attendees should plan to walk to the site or take advantage of limited parking at the DTCC parking facilities. The City expresses its appreciation to DTCC for assisting with parking for tonight’s event.
