The Streets Division of the Wilmington Public Works Department today announced street closings and restricted parking along Shipley Street in the Downtown District beginning Monday due to a construction project underway in this area. The restrictions are:
- The 800 and 900 block of North Shipley Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic and there will be no metered parking on Monday, May 22, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- There will be no parking in the 900 and 1000 block of North Shipley Street from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for three weeks beginning on Monday, May 22. “No Parking – Tow Away Zone” signage will be posted on all meters. Vehicular thru traffic will be allowed along these blocks during this period, but no parking will be permitted.
