Join us each month for a free self-guided tour of local art galleries, art studios, museums and alternative art spaces on the first Friday of the month during Art on the Town, also known as the Art Loop from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. Since 1988, Art on the Town has been a first Friday tradition in Wilmington. First Friday schedule subject to change to second Friday on holiday weekends.
How to "Art Loop"
Download Art on the Town Magazine at www.ArtLoopWilmingtonDE.com.
Step 1:
Review the many gallery options listed in the Art on the Town magazine and choose the openings you want to attend.
Step 2:
Map out choices on the Art on the Town map found on pages 4 & 5 in the magazine.
Step 3:
Choose your method of transportation:
- Choice A. The Art on the Town shuttle is a free service that picks passengers up at 5:45 PM and returns by 8:45 PM. Choose between a Downtown or Trolley Square Shuttle. Each shuttle does only loop of the designated route, therefore the shuttles can only be picked at the pick-up location.
- Choice B. Self-guided tours are a go at your own pace option and offers more freedom to visit openings on both the Downtown and Trolley Square loops as well as Wilmington Neighbors loop.

The Art on the Town magazine is a full color magazine with images appearing directly next to gallery descriptions, a full map with a venue key, featured artist and curator of the month, artist opportunities, and local art news. This new format allows the magazine to be displayed after the Art Loop and encourages those who missed the event to visit venues throughout the month.
