Energy Champion Award
The Energy Champion Award recognizes organizations or individuals who have taken the lead in supporting the Mayor Baker’s Climate Sustainability Program. This is accomplished through the implementation of projects that educate or inspire others to take up the cause of reducing Wilmington’s carbon footprint, including energy use reduction, clean transportation and recycling.
Criteria
Nominees should demonstrate one or more of the following criteria:
- Leadership that advances greenhouse gas reduction within a non-profit, academic institution, business or government
- Leadership that engages and shapes public response to climate change, spurring individuals to get involved in reducing their carbon footprints
- Action that has substantially reduced greenhouse gas emissions
