Household Certification
The Wilmington Green City Environmental Stewardship Self-Certification for Households is a comprehensive checklist for you to use to measure your household’s level of environmental sustainability. There are two levels of certification:
- Green: requiring 75 points
- Gold: requiring 150 points
The workbook is organized into categories from many areas within the home, with actions listed, each with an allocated point value. Your point values are added together to create a cumulative score. Don’t be intimidated by the length of the workbook, there are more than 700 total available points.

Click here to submit your score. If you reach either the green or gold levels, you can have your household listed on the website. Certifications are valid for two years from the award date. To get re-certified after the initial two years, households must earn either 100 points (Green) or 175 points (Gold).
