President Griffiths said the Committee wanted to make its recommendation expeditiously so that the residents of the 8th District would be appropriately represented. Griffiths further indicated the Committee anticipates making its recommendation to Council for action at its July 12, 2012 meeting.
The process for filling a vacancy on City Council is formally outlined in Section 2-34 of the City Code.
